Any one have any ideas on how to print out a rslodgics progam. As just hooking up a printer and hitting print did not work. When go to print prev shows the program. but just came out as jibberish.

Chop,

Your printer must be set up in the operating system software first. If you are using Windows, then you set the Printer up from the "Start, Settings, Printers & Faxes" menu. Then in RSLogix, select "Files, Print Setup" and select the correct printer.

You have to select what to print. We need to know what RSLogix you are using. 5000 or 500? In 5000 you go under print options. In 500 it is very similar. You don’t just print you have to tell it what to print.

There is no print preview option in 5000 so assume you are using 500. To print in logix 500 you need to access the report options and select the stuff you want to print, uncheck anything you do not want or it could turn into a big print exercise. Once completed you can preview under the reports/preview tab.

...but just came out as jibberish.
Setting the "Report Options" will not help with giberish. To me this is a sure sign that the wrong printer driver is being used for the print output, whether Chop is using a DOS operating system or something else.
