I would some information on how to setup an RS232 communication on a compactlogix controller to keep track of production counts. This RS232 connection will be connected to our company network.

Thanks

Your information is pretty vague. What do you plan on talking to?? And typically a company "network" is not RS232. A google search shows a few serial to database logging softwares, but I'm not sure they'd be compatible. Who are you trying to make this information available to?

This is a request from our parent company in Germany's. We have the majority of our PLCs Siemens S7 300. They will add RS232 module to the controllers and I believe send data strings through the company network. The software on the receiving end I'm not sure, but will fine out.

They need help settings up the Compactlogix controllers for the RS232 port.
