Does anyone know if you can get a Redlion G3 HMI to data-log that SB Memory Stick, rather than a CompactFlash card?

We have a number of sites where we are successfully data-logging to Compactflash, however it is getting increasing difficult to buy suitable 2GB Compactflash cards, and it seems that the USB memory stick route would be a logical solution.

You can use larger flash cards. I use 4, 8 ,16 G Bytes (whatever Walmart has on the shelves). You will need to format them with your Crimson Software but they work fine. Note: I always use SanDisk brand as I have had trouble with other brands.

I do not think you can store directly to a USB. You can store to the Compact flash and then send it to the USB though.

Marc,

The answer is no, you can't log directly to the USB stick. Once you log to the CF card you can transfer it to the USB stick. This won't solve your problem as the USB sticks would also be limited to 2G as well. As Clay as stated you can use a larger CF card or USB stick if you format it with Crimson.

Thanks
Jeremy
