RSL5000 Ver17 EDS Install

RSLogix5000, Version 17

I am trying to install an EDS file, but I can't find a means to do it.

In Studio, I can use Tools>EDS Hardware Installation tool to navigate to my EDS File and install it.

In RSL5000 (at least my version of it), I cannot find a menu path that will allow me to install an EDS. Is my version missing something or is there another way that I'm missing?

Its usually in the TOOLS pull down. If not, look in your programs: Rockwell Software > RSLinx > Tools.

I suppose you're installing an EDS file because the device is not being correctly represented in RSLinx (missing icon or question mark). If the problem is shown in RSLogix, you'll need an AOP.

Found the EDS Tool under RSLinx. Thanks.

Of course the program wants an admin password but the network gods have disabled my admin account because I haven't used it in the last 30 days. ARGGGH!
