Phil, I think this self advertising should stop. Top of the page clearly states:
This board is for PLC Related Q&A ONLY. Please DON'T use it for advertising, etc.

This person did not post anything but advertising so far.
If other will do the same this forum will die.


Speaking of sockets, EWEB Firmware 3.5 is available for download as well as the manual and knowledge base examples.
I played with it and it does not look too bad, but required a lot of handshaking and timout handling.
