Rslogix5000 & panel view600+ simple recipe

I made the recipe and it is all working. I made a user defined record element. I see the Recipe name (STRING) has LEN (DINT) and DATA (SINT(82)) Ascii.

I am programming the Panel view How many characters can I go up to working to 8 at the moment?:unsure:
 
The whole record element says it is using 96 bytes. I imagine the string can be 80 charcters. Is this correct way to much for what I want only require 12 or so.
