running hours program

Dear engineers,
i want to change the hours meter to any value i need but i can't change it.
how to change it...plz help me

I have never used the emulator but if you just want to manually put in a specific number then:

Push the properties button on your Hour Meter. (see screen shot #1)

Then insert what ever number you want into the real. (see screen shot #2)

Then press Apply and there you go.

I think this is what you were looking to do, if not let me know and I will try again.

You can see that it worked for me on my print screens.

Notice I put 999 in the real for the hour meter on the parameter page. (screen shot #2)

Now notice that it shows 999 next to the hour meter. (Screen shot #1)

Did you press the apply button at the bottom of the page after entering the value into the real?

You can also do this in the PLC logic by using a MOV to put the Value into
Engine_Hours_Hour_Meter Tag.

Jut make the rung conditional so it only moves when you want it to.

the first soultion is useless,i tried it with emulator with no response.
the second solution,when i put move rung as shown in the attached pic,the value with transfer just i remove this rung,running hours go to zero value.

Well seems that you are correct.

I loaded this onto a L24ER and it is doing exactly like you say.

Its late and has been a LONG day so not going to mess with it anymore tonight.

Maybe someone else who is familiar with this can shed some light on how this works.

I am curious now and want to know how this works also.

I do see that the Engine_Hours_Hour_Meter Tag (REAL) is Read Only.

One more step to climb, learning all the time.

thnx for ur help i do it by adding block diagram (add function) and connect the destination on ftstudio

So you are doing this with functions blocks or ladder inside L5000.

I don't think I have function block capability with my software.
