S7-1200 Modbus Communication

Hi,

I have a S7-1200 and Beijer HMI. These are communicated with ethernet cable. I want to do that PLC communicate with another device via RS485. I know that S7-1200 needs additional module for RS485 communication. The HMI screen has a RS485 port. Is it possible to communicate PLC with other device using the HMI's RS485 port without the use of additional RS485 module? If possible, how can I do it ?

this can be possible if your hmi can read from another device (modbus rtu for exemple) and copy data to PLC tags

What is the model of the Beijer HMI you are using? This will determine how you can communicate.

Hi,

I use Beijer iX T7A HMI. HMI reads memory bits from plc. I want to reads these memory bits via RS485. For to do this, I define 2 controller on HMI. Controller1 is for Modbus and Controller2 is for S7-1200.

Here is the defined controller for Modbus.

And here is the modbuss address.

I used Modbus Poll software for testing but I was not succesfull.
