Hi,
I've used to use CP5512 PCMCIA card to connect to the PLC. With that card i was able to connect to the DP network at any place of the factory (connecting to the DP connector in random cabinet). Currently i have PC ADAPTER USB (6ES7 972-0CB20-0XA0), but with this device, i can connect only directly to the DP/MPI connector of the PLC, or to the PROFIBUS repeater. If i am trying to connect elswhere, it doesn't work.
Is that a limitation of PC ADAPTER USB or i am doing something wrong?
