Hello,
Anyone here have any suggestion for a nice fail over user program for the SEL RTAC. Specifically having two RTAC sharing one 2440 Axion Remote IO.
I have my general architecture like this:
1. One RTAC designate as the Primary and one RTAC as Secondary
2. Each RTAC looks at a IPAliasRedundancy block that is tied to the IP address of each RTAC.
3. Examining the IPAliasRedundancy will determine which RTAC is alive and Primary
4. The Primary RTAC will enable its device connection to the Axion 2440, the Secondary will disable its device connection to the Axion 2440
5. Primary will send its tags value to a data list, Secondary will copy the data list value to its tag database
6. If Primary goes down , then Secondary will come up and become Primary by enabling its device connection to the Axion 2440, and enable its Primary logic
I still gotta put all that into code, but does anyone here have another fail over method they can share?
SEL people said they don't have any baked in fail over feature.
