I have the task of trying to get a AB ControlLogix to communicate with a Honeywell C300 controller. I did do some searching but really did not find much. What I did find, was a tiny bit with a C200. Has anyone accomplished this , before ? I will keep searching , and post if I find something.

Thanks in advance,

Hi Rob.S,

How you’re finding?

I have search few thread as below maybe will help you, generaly Honeywell Publications on manual user maybe or maybe not you get from web

Mostly come with CD during purchase if you using C300 you must have the manual/CD user.

I have no idea on C300, only little bit experience using Honeywell part perhaps others member can help you.

Maybe my information wrong I hope another member can highlight.

Your task is to collect data from C300 this means you no need dealing with CONTROL BULIDER.

1.) Then your knowledge in MODBUS RTU and MODBUS TCPIP in Contrologix must good.

For C200 Processor their use SERIAL INTERFACE FTA-MODBUS RTU MC- TSIM12 to communicate With other device.

In CONTROL BUILDER a block (SI-ADD - SIFLAGARRCHA) are used, only click and drag, and map all the address PLC IO to be target.(first must configuration).

2.) Now you must get the address sheet IO for C300 from Honeywell for mapping.

3.) Then come PROSOFT (Rockwell cousin) probably you need purchase MODBUS TCP from them.

Go to Prosoft web plenty of information/example on module MODBUS RTU/TCP there.

Whether you’re L61or C300 become Master or Slave.

Check your C300 terminal/socket MODBUS RTU? Or MODBUS TCP? Free port?

Maybe my information is wrong. Only this I can help you perhaps others member have few tips.
