I have been "scouring" the Siemens website for a good simple example of ethernet communications between a 315-2 PN/DP PLC and a non-Siemens motion control product. All I want to do is send a couple command bits and position requests. Then receive the actual position and maybe some alarm/fault information. I
plan to use a Red Lion DSP protocol conversion unit for the communications end. Does anybody have any information on this matter? o_O

Whats the device you are trying to communicate to?
Is it a profinet slave device or are you trying T-send, T-recieve blocks?
