SLC5/05 Ethernet communication

Hello ,

I`ve got a small question
I have here one SLC5/05: 1747-L552 CPU. Now I want to move
the received ethernet data to the N12 data file, and want
to send from N13 the data back to the ethernet.

On the other side is one PC with an C++ Applikation and
the allen-bradley special .dlls. (This has already worked
on an PLC5 system)

So I only want now know how I can receive and send these data.

You need to re-configure your C++ application to communicate with the SLC 5/05. This may be a different parameter in your comms command or you may need a different driver.

what are you using as your communications driver for the PC?

the addressing should be the same.

Hello:
I use the following programm:
It is an Software package from "Ingear"
www.ingearopc.com .

I use here only the activX control and
write down directly to the N12:4 (Lenght 8 Bytes)
and read from the N13:4 (Length8 Bytes)

Is the ethernet connection the same from PLC5
and SLC systems, so I can use the programm for this SLCs?

did you change InGear settings to talk to SLC ?

Oh, i`ve give me self the answer.

the available controlers

yes I have seen it, after I have read the descripion, from ingear.$
I changed it. Thanks a lot for your help.
Now it works properly, and I can communicate with the pc.
