Swithched Reluctance Motor

Hi All ,

I am having a Old 90 KW Switched reluctance(SR) motor which i am trying to run by ABB Drive(ACSM1) in DTC mode ..But i m not able to complete the id run.Motor able to run in V/F mode.but my application is a Stamping press and i need to run it in Pos loop i.e. DTC mode.

is it possible to run a SR motor by a DTC/PWM drive.if noy y..

Please help ASAP as i m stuck on site.

Probably need special software. Contact ABB tech service in your country. They will have your answers.
