unitary PLC's

Hi mocksah.

The reason is that the term "unitary" is never used anywhere else than on that HNC course.

Try to find pictures of one of the following PLCs:
AD DL105.
Siemens S7-200.
Allen Bradley Micrologix 1000.

Here's a stash of pictures I came across on the Siemens web-site. As with many things there, it's well tucked away, but there are pictures & drawings by the thousand ...

Start at http://support.automation.siemens.com/
Select the top-menu link for 'Product Support'
Now move to the right-hand navigation bar and select "Technical Info"
Finally, select "Images, Graphics and Drawings"

All of a sudden you're in to a massive store-room full of just that covering everything from pushbuttons and position switches up to full blown process automation systems.

Amazing what you can find on the 'net.

Ken

hehehe "unitary"... :ROFLMAO:
tell your teacher to catch up and do some research himself
his terminology is dead end street. if they change wording in their course, they will be doing their job and helping hudreds of students.

here are some "brick" or compact plcs (not modular)
(Mitsubishi FX series, AB Micrologix 1000, Omron CPM1A...)

...and of course the famous "shoebox" PLCs.

Hi Panic Mode

Just re-read your response -

I note in the 'smart relay' section you refer to the "AB Logo". I don't think Rockwell or Siemens would be too happy at their inability to correctly brand their products in your mind. Shouldn't that be either the "AB Pico" or the "Siemens Logo"?
(Aw, wotthehell, they're all the same inside anyway!:))
