Upgrading Step7 5.4 to Professional

Here it is a note:
For upgrading from STEP 7 V3.x to 5.x to STEP 7 Professional Edition 2006 there is the PowerPack: MLFB 6ES7810-5CC10-0YC5

I understand that this means I get this package to upgrade our Step7 5.4 to the professional pack.
What I don't get is that this pack also upgrades the S7 3.x Lite to the professional package?
So if you want the professional pack full version, you need to spend like 2500 euro, but if you buy the Step7 3 Lite for like 50 euros, you can upgrade to professional using the power pack, which costs 1200 euros...
Have I misunderstood something?

Where have you seen that STEP7 LITE is enough as a prerequisite to upgrade via a powerpack to STEP7 PRO ?

And where did you see that Step 7 Lite costs 50 Euros? I got mine for free.

STEP7 LITE lives a separate life next to STEP7 BASIC and STEP7 PRO.
The version numbers of LITE has nothing to do with the version number for BASIC or PRO.

LITE can nowadays be downloaded for free.

Don't confuse Step 7 Lite and Step 7 (I agree this is not the clearest distinction possibly established by Siemens' commercial division...); the easiest way to look at this is through the part numbers.
