Vipa CPU 115SER & Siemens 315-2DP

I have a Vipa Cpu 115SER. I can communicate with it using Simatic Manager & MPI Cable. But Simatic Manager recognize it as S7-300 Cpu 315-2DP

Is it possible to replace S7-300 Cpu 315-2DP with Vipa 115SER

No i didn't read the manual.

But Why you think that? Could you please share some more information?

and Why Simatic Manager recognize VIPA 115SER as S7-300 315-2DP?

The VIPA PLC is developed by former Siemens Engineers.
As a direct result the programming Step7 software is compatible.
But the PLC's are not swappable with eachother
These are two different PLC's

1: The S7315-DP has a DP interface, V115SER has not.
2: The S7315-DP has much more RAM than the V115SER.
3: The IO/IF/CP cards are totally different.
4: They can run much of the same code.

I did never use a V115, but my guess is that Vipa needs a fake DP-master (S7315DP) to be able to add a fake unit with a V115 GSD file for parametrizing their CPU.
