What happens when a factorytalk view ME audit trail becomes full?

struggling to find documentation on this, I have it in my head that it overwrites itself but i dont know where i have got that from.
when it becomes full does it just stop recording?
does it brick the plc until it is cleared?
or does it overwrite itself?
