Hello everybody,

I have a little bit expirience with PROTOOL and WinCC and I am interested in WinCC Flexible. Can somebody explain me a little bit differences, advantages and similarities between these three?

Thanks.

I've not used WinCC or Protool however I have converted a project from ProTool to WinCC Flexible. The way I understand it Flex is the replacement for ProTool and will replace WinCC in the future.

I think you can do anything in Flex that you can do in ProTool. It has a nice interface that is easy to use. It is a memeory hog and you need a fast computer with a lot of memory.

WinCC has some advanced features that Flex does not. I don't know them all but I do know it has more options for data logging and trending.

I recommend going to Siemens web site and download the getting started in WinCC Flexible.
