Wireless ethernet/PLC adapter

I use Mikrotik WiFi routers to connect our equipment to WiFi networks in installation sites and use them mostly as a NAT devices.
They are very cheap, reliable and extremely customizable (some times maybe too much).
For example the Miktrotik hAP cost only 45$ and can be configured to operate as an Access Point, WiFi Bridge, Station or Router and additionally has 5 Lan ports.

In your case you could use https://mikrotik.com/product/RBmAP2nD if you want to supply it from a 24V power source or https://mikrotik.com/product/RBmAPL-2nD if you want something really cheap but still reliable and customizable.

Ubiquity is also a great solution but a little bit more expensive.

I did not realize that the Mikrotik mAP had such a broad DC jack input voltage range: 8 to 57 volts !

I use RouterOS devices at home and in the office, but not for field installations just because they're not particularly physically rugged. And yeah, they're customizable enough that I've locked myself out of my home router with a configuration more than once.

Thanks for bringing up that aspect of the very inexpensive mAP.

Just installed one more Mikrotik hAP AC lite.
I install them on milk cooling tanks.
I use them as switches for communication between an HMI with Codesys runtime and a custom ModbusTCP remote IO board as well as a WiFi station/router to connect to farm's WiFi or wired network.
Then I port-forward the services I need to access from the farm's network or internet on the HMI.
It's installed on din rail using some supports I designed and print on my 3d printer.
Works like a charm till now.

They don't seem very rugged because of the cheap plastic housing but I have seen them used a lot in IoT and telemetry projects so they must quite reliable.
Some of them have Tested ambient temperature -30°C to 70°C which sounds good and they also have devices for outdoor use.

Another economic but industrial grade solution is Teltonika. They have some very rugged routers and gateways.
