I'm trying to convert an old panelview 600 application to the 800 and I'd like to keep the current serial comms configuration instead of adding ethernet switches, etc. The processor is a 1769-L32. At some point this processor was micro or SLC and the project has been converted to 5000, so the data table addressing is now arrays.

I have the alarms banner and all integer tags working, but I cannot seem to get boolean tags that are in arrays to work. Just wondering if anyone else has attempted?

Interestingly, to get integers to work I had to change the syntax back to original 500 format, so a PLC tag in the L32 such as N7[30] becomes N7:30 in the CCW project.

For anyone that ever comes across this, I figured out that the boolean tags in the compactlogix need to be addressed as "N" file in order to work in the 800. For instance, if your project's array was converted from an SLC/rs500 project, it is probably something like: B3[xx].xx

This needs to be converted to something like N7[xx].xx within the compactlogix project. Then, in connected components address this to N7:xx/xx and make it a boolean.
