Hi all,
I'm using the FactoryTalk View SE PlanPAX Add-ons/faceplate package, and I'm trying to get my head around the program/operator modes. The attached pic shows the various levels and how they interact. How I see it is "Operator" mode would be like a manual start from the HMI, and "Program" mode would be an auto start based on other PLC inputs (pressure, time, etc).
Now the faceplate for the MODE operator only has two control buttons "Operator Lock" and "Operator Unlock", so you can switch to modes "Operator" and "Operator Locked". My question is how would you typically go into the Program Mode from Operator mode; a timer, another button, etc? If anybody has any real world examples it would be much appreciated.
