Assuming that you were going to download, the program back into this Micro, I assume that you have the program. If so you should be able to open the hardware configuration and see what the port(s) are set to. Match this in Proficy ME.
Proficy will work with or with out an SNP ID, but it too will be in the project that you need to download to this unit.Should I have an SNP ID in the property inspector?
If so, what should it be?

Then you have a bad cable, bad PLC, bad Serial Port, bad USB adapter, bad Proficy installation. How many of these can you eliminate?I did that exactly, Russ.

Cant seem to find that utility. I am running Version 5.55. Is there a chance that it was a later addition?
Reason number 97 to keep ones software version up-to-date. Search your install CD or the GE-IP web site for a file named "SerialCommTest.zip" it may be there.
