Hello Everyone,

I am a newbie to Allen Bradley Kinetix 300. We are controlling some indexing conveyors over Ethernet/IP. My issue is when one of the drives faults out for whichever reason. You are able to reset it and start it, but about 2 seconds later it loses the enable and the drive stops. No faults on the drive when this happens. You start it again and the same thing happens. The only way to get the drive to work correctly is to cycle the power on it and let it reboot. Any ideas why the drive behaves like this only after a fault was present? Please help.

Is it the ordinary Enable input (IN_A3) or one (or both) of the Safety inputs that's dropping out ?

It sounds like maybe there's a time delayed safety device somewhere in the system that requires a power cycle to reset.

Hello ken,
INA3 has constant 24v. We are using the software enable from the drives table. We are not using the drives safety circuit. The enable input drops out but in the logic the enable bit is still on. Makes no sense at all.
