Hi

I'll use this memory module with an S5-90U system:
6ES5375-8LA12

SIMATIC S5,375 MEMORY SUBMODULE
FLASH EPROM, 8 KBYTES
FOR PROGRAMMING
STEP 5 V6.6 NECESSARY

Is this memory module flash or eprom? I mean can I use it like the eeprom?
Can I delete and reprogram it electrically, many times?

Can you write the Flash EPROM 6ES5 375-8LA12 from the AG90 like an EEPROM?
ANSWER:
No. Reasons:

1. The module replaces with full compatibility an EPROM module, and therefore also the EPROM module ID in MLFB and the module hardware.
2. Due to its firmware the PLC can only write modules with EEPROM ID.
3. In order to write modules you need a driver (supplied as of PG/PC software STEP5 V6.6) that is not implemented in the AG90 firmware and is also not planned to be.
