Importing RSLogix5 Code

Hi,

Quick question. I have received a few .RP1 files and need to be able to open them. I have RS500 and RS5000, but not 5. Is there a way to "convert" or "import" them into one of these two programs? At least even to view them??

I don't think there is a way.
SLCs, PLC5s and Contrologix are all different PLC architectures, therefore, each has its own unique programming package

If you want to create a ControlLgix version of your application, RSLogix 5000 has a translation tool for importing SLC and PLC5 files and converting them but you'll need your PLC5 file in the .PC5 format.

If you just want to view it, post it here and one of us can PDF it for you.
