RSview32

I will watch your post with interest as I am also considering doing this and as you are on line I will convey my thoughts as the northrn hemisphere sleeps
In display settings set the start position at say 1000 by 100 this would place your second screen to the right and slightly down so should just be visible on fist monitor but mainly on the second

This thread explains a lot, but in my case the computer in question is a Pcanywhere client and will be the only one with the two monitors, so before I go ahead and buy a new computer and two monitors I need to know if it will work, I think not as you and the thread suggests but is still possible by setting the monitors as one horizontal then making the screen I need to display on the second as "overlay" and with Title bar active, then I can just grab it and move to the second screen, yes?

That thread tells me what was interesting me

My sugestion is if you have a laptop with access to pc anywhere you can try it right now as most laptops support a monitor added to the laptop as a dual monitor
