New AB PLC2 programming software ?

No experience, but based on the lack of "official" support, this software looks like a bargain for doing just what they are marketing it for - migrating to a newer system.

No support other than installation... Looks like a niche market, I doubt if the price is an idicator of quality, either. They don't expect to sell many copies.

Go for it. I would.

What model of PLC2 are you using?

The AB protocols for programming commands are well documented. The hardest part of writing your own programming software would be the serial interface.

I've theorized that you can write a program and display it in Excel, maybe using VBA.

But those drivers... :(

I very much doubt you could it do for $375 though. Assuming you put some value on your time.

My goal is usually to get the current job done and on to the next one. There's vacation days to plan!
