How Do I get Control Logix Consumed Tag Status

I have 3 Control logix L55 processors that communicate via ControlNet using some produced and consumed bit words. I have seen a case where one of the processors major faulted and the other processors did not know it and the bits being consumed stayed in last state. I have found AB documentation about looking at the Connection Status member of a tag structure but it does not really explain or show a example of this structure. Imagine AB documentation not really that great? ;(
Anyone with a example or is there a better way to monitor if a processor is still up and working??

I monitor PLC status with a handshake methodology. You should be able to do the same with your setup.

I could give you a very detailed explanation of the Module Status object, which I understand in detail and use routinely.

But my documentation isn't that great.
