HI forum,

Can any one Explain me what is the FAN IN & FAN OUT principle in PLC in Functional Block Diagram Language?

If Possible , example would be better to Understand.

Thanx & Regards,
Parag Uike

Hi Parag,
I hope I am putting it right in ControlLogix FBD perspective.

Fan in means signals you are giving in to an FBD block, and fan out is the other way.

for example ActualTemp is the input you give IN to an Alarm block , you get multiple Fan out outputs like HiHi alm, Hi Alm, Lo alm , LoLo alm, ROC etc.

You may have many Fan IN inputs like Lim sw status and depending on these you may SELECT one OUTPUT.

Well.
