My new notebook PCMK card slot is farther towards the front of the pc. When you purchase the cable for the card you receive this stick on plastic holder that you attach to the back of the screen to keep the stress off of the cable. I need 6" extenson for the cable. Do they make such a thing?? Or is this just a dum question??

Not that I know of...

I had one ripped out by someone walking by and caught the cable, it destroyed the cable and card.

After that I placed the plastic piece on the front of the PC, that was a Sony on my Dell they are too thin to do that so I have no place to put it....

Let me know if you find one.

If you have a Dell latitude like mine, I put the cable holder on the top of the laptop by the keyboard. There is enough room between the plane of the keyboard and the lid so that when it closes, there is no interference problem.

there is two viable methods soldering with shrink wrap on top. or use butt splices For the number of wires I would go with method one. Method two would end up with a bulky mess
