I was wondering if I can send/recieve data between PC AND PLC through the COM port

are there blocks in Ladder logic in step7 thats does the job (send/recieve) ?

It's as S7 extension. There are manuals and example projects also. Download and install it is said.

thanks for posting the links but i dont see anything there about RS-232
can you refer to it?a manual?

and the whole cpus in communication are just the 314 series
doesnt the 313 has rs232?

Ops.. You need CP341 Com port for RS232C to your PLC.
Maybe better is CP343-1 Lean unit for Ethernet (around 500€).
I don't know if there is something for MPI. MPI is RS485 as Profibus DP.

This would now be solved for sure with this serial s7 communication with plc.

don't pay 500€ for that . Pay 500€ for an ethenet card on your s7-300...
