How do I reset an SLC 500 from CPU fault?
I accidentally used a crossover cable from 1747 UIC to the PLC.
I'm hoping i didn't burn the 1747 UIC. If I did is there any way to fix it?

Which SLC500 do you have? SLC5/01,02,03,04,05?

Does the above mean you can't get connected now?

Have you tried to cycle power?
And when all else fails clear memory. ( see PDF below)

It is a SLC 500 L30A. I did what it says on the PDF and the error changed from 002: Hardware Timeout to 001: NVRAM Corrupt. I hope i didn't brake it even more.
On the other hand, I found the burnt chip in the 1747 - UIC. It most likely is a MAX3430-CSA transceiver. I might be in luck with that one through a friend that built something similar last week and he might have an extra chip now. I'm holding my fingers crossed and if he fixes the 1747 UIC maybe I can clear the fault from the software (if I can connect and if the PLC isn't pinched).

Soooo whoever uses this setup pleeaaase triple check your cable before you plug it in. (NO CROSSOVER)

I'm thinking the 24 is coming from the PLC so it shouldn't have anything busted inside - just maybe shorted - from where the fault.

Anyway thanks for the PDF Mickey.
