Hi, I'm new here and getting into plc's. Haven't did much with them since college so doing some refresh.

Friend has this rotissery thing he wants to use as a welding fixture. Has a Yasakawa CACR-SR drive and AB SLC 5/03 with SLC servo, Input, Output modules. Also included with the thing is a Panelview 550. I believe this thing was interfaced with a robot at one point for whatever. The program is long gone due to the dead battery and I have no idea where to start with regards to programming the servo. All he wants this thing to do is turn when a pedal is pushed. I'm not sure what other information is needed but any help would be great!

thanks

You need to create a little program on the servo drive.
When Input is on, jog to desired direction.
You don't even need the PLC or HMI for it.
Not sure which software you'll need to program the servo drive though.
It should be pretty straight forward.

yea i'll power the thing up when i get a chance this week and see what the deal is. It was just wired up to power. Thanks for the info, i'll report back with some real details.
