I received some hardware from my workplace, but do not have software to program the plc. I'm looking for some free or very cheap software to program with. Any suggetions are welcome.

Unfortunately there is no such beast available. You could use the demo version of Directsoft, but it is limited to about 10 words of ladder, which isn't a lot.

My best suggestion would be to watch Ebay for the full version of software. It doesn't come along very often, but I have seen it on there before. Just beware of buying illegal copies, there have been a couple of people pushing these off as legitimate.

I am being lazy tonite...doesnt Automationdirect sell plc specific versions for $50 or so?

Yeah, but not for the DL405 series. Even so, $495 is a bargain when it comes to programming software... :nodi:
