For a small project I need some digital I/O's and a serial communication with a weight measurement. Also an ethernet connection to an MP277.

Normally I would use ET200S for such small application, but the 1200 has also ethernet communication modules. But I cannot program in SCL or STL. The communication with the weight has te be written from zero, I mean I need to convert telegrams to understandable information by converting ASCII and using it's protocol. Can such thing been written in a 1200 ? Will it not explode ?

Hmmm.... With S7-200 it is possible; you can unlock RS232 library for modem, and see how it works. Libraries for S7-1200 are still locked.
You can use an OMRON PLC with Protocol macro.
