I have a problem with plc 5/20.WHEN the plc power fails the programme vanishes. when power is resumed the processor, batt and force light glows steady.now the processor is not communicating with pc.i removed the plc from rack and reset the processor by removing battery and again installed the programme and it works.but the problem exist when power fails.i have to repeat the same process again to run the plc.PL NOTE I HAVE REPLACED THE NEW BATTERY BUT THE PROBLEM STILL PERSIST.then i changed a new processor with the existing battery and it works as it should be.PL suggest me what to do. is it a software problem or hardware problem in plc. thanks in advance.

What are your Switch Settings under Processor Status? Do you have it set to Transfer from EEProm perhaps? What Colours are the Status Lights you refer to that are glowing steady? Is it possible for you to post your RSP Program File? (Zip it first)

Stu.....

proc status is red, batt is red and force is yellow and all steady.switch setting is alright as i have done the same setting with a new processor 5/20 and it works normal. no eeprom module installed.

You have eliminated the battery, the battery charging circuit. What is left? Something must be wrong with the microprocessor module.
PL suggest me what to do.
Best, cheapest long-term fix is to add a Uninterruptible Power Supply to provide backup power.

Next best is to replace the processor module. Is it still under a warranty?
