One of the nice thngs about ladder logic is the fundamental programming techniques can be ported to most platforms without too much trouble. Any basic ladder logic function (contacts, timers, counters) can be found in all PLCs.

I'm not sure A-B supports "statement logic" if by that you mean one of the flow chart or text type languages, except in the ControlLogix platfrom. You can get info on A-B at:
