I have acquired a 1747-UIC DH 485 (USB to DH 485) device and it works well with the DH 485 communications, but here is the problem that I also have to overcome.

It is getting increasingly difficult to but Laptops with PCMCIA and serial com port on tem and I need a USB to Serial COM port device for connecting the computer to the RS 232 ports on the PLC, specifically AB (Rockwell) SLC 5/* series controllers.

Anybody out there have a solution to this dilemma?
