I have an inview text display and im wondering if you can have two variable fields on the same display or not, i have tried this and failed! i dont think you can as you only have one variable word but thought someone out there would no for sure.

SLC 5/04 with NET-ENI

2706-P42R - DISPLAY

2706-PENETP - ETHERNET ADAPTOR

Im wanting to display stoppage time for todays shift and the previous shift, im using the examples from the inview software i can update the variable but struggled to get the text display to change, i was testing it first on a compact logix as we had one in the workshop, but now i will be fitting it to the line and just wanted to see if anybody had any tips from past experience with these.

i have looked over the advanced folder that came with the IMS software and can see that you can have multiple variables, the example shows using a 5/05 on ethernet but i will be using a 5/04 with a net-eni so would i need to write ascii out of the serial port or would i still program it as the example?
