communication problem in Seimens

Hello,

I have to communicate with different S7-300s and S7-400s installed at different machines.

I am able to communicate perfectly with the PLCs that either do not have profibus or have profibus connected to HMI only.
But when I try to communicate with PLC having modules connected through profibus, I am not able to communicate successfully.
I receive the error "The set local node address is already in use"

I am using MPI cable, and the PG/PC is set to MPI adaptor.
Any idea whats lacking?

It sounds like you have a node address conflict.
Try changing your interface module address through PG/PC interface.
