Hi All,
I am designing a system that has a lot of analog signal (4-20 mA), the
distance from the transmitters (2 wires transmitter) to PLC is about 100 m. I know that external noise is a big problem for analog signal.
So, someone can help me:
- the type of cables i should use
- How to use the Shield line in that cables
- Some experiences to keep from noise
or the Website i can get tutorial about this problem
Thanks

you will find

You will find that the experiences and recommendations regarding
this subject will vary with the person offering the advice.

At one company I worked for, they studied what effect twisting
wires had on noise. The result of that study was that all
analog wires to/from transmitters to the PLC had to be
'three twists per inch' (unshielded).

The more traditional approach accepted by most engineers is for
a shielded, twisted pair cable, with the shield attached to
ground at ONE END ONLY.
