I don't recognise the part number which is 2711-T10C8L1.
I need help with the L1 at the end. I know it is a 10 inch color touch with DH+. I don't have it in front of me. I need to know if there is a DB-9 port and can I connect and download to it? Thanks.

L1 denotes the required power supply is DC.

2711-T10C8L1...

2711 = PanelView Standard
T10C= Touch 10" Colour
8 = DH+
L1 = DC

The same terminal for AC would simply be 2711-T10C8.

There is no RS-232 port on a comms option 8 DH+ terminal.
You would need an option 12 for a native RS-232 port, or an option 16 for an RS-232 (DF1). An option 9 will give you RS-232 (DH-485).

To download applications you can use a CompactFlash card.

Regards,
George

Yes there is. The Aux port (RS232) can be used for upload/download of its program.
Or be set up as a printer port, default is upload/download.

You will need a straight thru cable to use this port (RS232). Set RSLinx for RS232 DF1 devices protocol.

Thanks for the correction Mickey! (y)

I haven't used a PanelView Standard for some time, so I was working from memory and had mixed up the Port options for application comms and upload/download comms. DH+ is the only application comms option on an option 8 PanelView Standard. I'd also forgotten (even though I think I posted this very info somewhere here recently?) that for a lot of the PanelView Standard terminals, the RS-232 Printer Port is only available on certain models of a particular screen size, but for all of the PanelView Standard 1000 terminals, they have the RS-232 Printer Port, which does indeed allow application upload/download.

Cheers,
George

(Apologies for low res attachment...)
