PID Question

My Platform is AB ML1400 running rslogix 500.

I need to Run my PID file in Manual mode untill a sensor tells it to go to auto. I am currently trying to MOV 1 to PD23:0/AM to accomplish this. However I am getting the error that that the destination address must be specified to the Word level. Obviously I am missing something simple here. Any help is appreciated.

Also on a side note when I want to put it in manual mode I would like to set the CV to a predefined setting. When trying to do this I get the same error.

PD23.0/AM is a bit address apply it to an "OTE" instruction and it will work.
