We have a PV 1500 that communicates with 13 PLC from PLC 5 to Contollogix. Running 6.0 because corporate doesn't want to upgrade

We just upgraded some PLC 5's to L72 Processors running RsLogix 20.1

When we test the panel view app in Factorytalk on the laptop every screen works fine. When we run on the Panel view nothing from those new PLCs populates all errors.

My fear is I need to be using FT 7.0, but nothing else makes sense. Runs fine on the laptop not fine on the PV suggestions??

We get a rslinxng.exe needs to shutdown due to a major error. Again every screen works and changes except the 2 on L72 processors

Do you have your shortcut set on the communications runtime tab?

Yes......we went to config and even verified the setting are the same in the pc vs the panel view.

Just don't know if it's Factorytalk or a Linx issue. We do get a rslinxng.exe fault when the app loads , so ??

Are you testing a single screen or testing using the running man?
I know I recently had to upgrade RSLinx Enterprise for a new compactLogix but I couldn't see it on the computer.

Each screen works on the using the play button.

Test using the running man as it uses the run-time communication from my understanding.

Also, make sure you are checking the replace the communication when you download.

Yes it works with the running man and replace comms is checked.

Someone has a copy FT 8.0 we are going to put that on there and see what happens.

According to this PDF page 6 you need RSLinx Enterprise 5.50 for V20 software...

Correct Bob O, but it's the v20 "hardware" that needs the software support, more so than the "V20 software", but I know what you meant.

To add support for v20 Controllers:
For the PC you can upgrade to RSLinx Enterprise v5.50 minimum.
For the PVP terminal you can flash the firmware to v5.10.08 minimum.
