My company has two Scienscope CC-HDMI-CD2 cameras (https://www.scienscopeproducts.com/cameras/scienscope-1080p-hdmiusb-camera-cc-hdmi-cd2.html). Does anyone have any suggestions for inspection software that works on generic USB cameras? I'm finding lots of software that works with a specific model or brand of camera, but nothing for general USB cameras.
I would like to connect one camera to a desktop PC and display the video feed while detecting the color of one part. A steel needle is stained red with machinist's dye and we carefully grind the needle on a stone until the red color disappears. Even better, it would be great to detect the edge of the stone and the edge of the needle and ensure the angle between them is 0 degrees.
This is occurring at 62x magnification with the option to increase to 124x if needed. Between this magnification and the 1080p 60fps camera, the software should have a good, close view of the part and I can optimize lighting as needed externally.
Thanks for any suggestions!
