Hello everyone,

I am looking for some affordable and reliable ethernet data loggers, possibly with rtd/4-20ma addon capability. I would also like a web based interface.

Anyone able to recommend something?

I have used some in the past, but I cant say that they were reliable, a lot of times when you tried to access them they would'nt allow a connection.

These would be implemented in such a fashion that I could log run time of any number of machines in our plant. These machines would be all different types of controls. I would simply use a contact from the machine controls to indicate a run condition to the logger.

thanks in advance.

I am using pico logger

I use pico logger 1000 to monitor run time and speed. It does DDE so you can get it to a web site. free demos

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you want, but T and D makes a RTR-5XX line of data loggers

These will transmit wirelessly inside your facility to a base station that is connected to a PC. The software on the base station can be configured to upload data to T and D's "Web Storage Service". You get a free account that lets you get the data via browser at any time. We use the temp and temp/humidity units to monitor all kinds of equipment as well as areas of our facility. I think we have about 25 of them at last count. If you have a large facility you will need some repeaters to bounce the signal from remote data loggers to the base station PC. The base station units act as a base station or a repeater depending on how you set them up. As you can see they have a bunch of different types of data loggers for voltage, current, pulse count, etc. We've been very pleased with them. They aren't cheap though. the data loggers will run about $300 each, and every base station/repeater is about the same. A single base station PC can handle hundreds of the data loggers though.
