Simatic Manager "Download" is grayed out!

Hey i use Step 7 V5.4 + SP5 HF 1

something is wrong in simatic manager,
now when i wanna download from the manager the download button is grayed out,
menu PLC/download doesn't work either.

if i wanna download i need to open every FC/FB/DB etc and download them from there.

is there any solution on that?

i think u want to simulate ur program using PLCSIM,right??
let make sure that:
1.you have license for PLC SIM->if yes then okk
2.did you configure the protocol MPI/Profibus in your Hardware config for communication.

hope this will solve ur problem.
 
Ive never used that program but could it be possible that you have to select to where you want to download before you will have the option to.

you have blocks selected. maybe try the plc

Check the interface settings. First test would be to check if you have accessible nodes available.

Simatic Manager sometimes look "funny", without it actually meaning anything. I havent seen what you see, but I have seen other odd things.

Try to select the blocks you want to download, and then hit CTRL+L.

Im trying with PLC SIM right now, trying this later when on site also.
i use PLCSIM tcp/ip in PC/PG interface
and i have the CPU in "accessible nodes" so connections is OK.
I can go online/upload/download and use vat table etc. so there is only download in manager that doesn't work.

Doesn't work either.

think that we have a update that i can install, maybe that solve the prob. o_O
 
I have this in all my project i think,
dont remember when i saw the download button last time

we doesnt have any step 7 update,
is Step 7 V5.4 + SP5 HF 1 the latest version?

I have looked at a PCS7 project few months ago.

F-soft, do u mean failsafe?
yes i have that installed to.
 
Now when i know what the prob. is,
every time i open a project the first time i have to change to Step 7.

But is there anyway to make "STEP 7" default and not "PCS7"
 
Yes i understand that,
but everytime i open a project that i havent open before,
i need to do that also, even if that isn't a PCS7 project.
