Hi guys,

I'm totally new to Mitsubishi PLC.

1) I've a small project working with Mitsubishi FX2N-32MR PLC. Does anyone knows what is the S/S means or what's the purpose of this in the PLC input connector?

2) Anyone has the wiring diagram for the FX2N-8EYR ext. output module? I try to google in meau website, but no luck...or i just can't find it.

Thank you.

The S/S terminal is used to configure the unit inputs for sinking or sourcing signals (all at once).
The inputs themselves are polarity-insensitive and S/S is their common.
When the S/S is connected to the logic ground, the inputs react on sourcing signals (PNP sensors).
When it is connected to the logic power (typically +24VDC) the inputs react on sinking signals (NPN sensors).

Oppps. What else would "S/S" be for. I got confused because page 47 of the manual shows the typical run/stop configurations.

Sorry for any confusion. At least I got the right manual. Sergei knows way more than me.

By the way, that manual should also have contained the expansion module information you needed.

Sergei Troizky : Thx for your explaination, now i understand it ;) Appreciate it.

Jimmie: It's okie, i search for S/S in that manual and it got explain its function further down the page, too.

BTW, anyone could help me with the FX2N-8EYR wiring diagram?
