1761-NET AIC to Panelview 550 b5a1

Hi,


I have a panelview 550 2711 B5A1 and a Micrologix 1200 connected to a 1761 NET AIC. Is there a way to communicate between the 6 pin DH485 connector on the AIC and the 3 pin RIO connecter on the 550? Is a RIO to DH485 converter necesary?

The ML1200 or ML series of controllers do not support RIO. Your going to have to change your PV550 to a DF1 or DH485 unit. Or change your ML1200 to a SLC5/? with a RIO scanner.
I have never heard of a RIO to DH485 converter and even if there was one
it would not work with your ML1200.
